Instructors: Giorgos and Antigoni

Giorgos and Antigoni met under the sun of Havana in the summer of 2008. From then on even though they were dancing separately by that time they decided to define their own course both in life and dance.

Since then they have attended various festivals and workshops in Cyprus as well as lessons of Cuban Dances in London with famous Cuban teachers such as Yanet Fuentes, Ariel Rios Robert, Yanek Revilla, Diana Rodriguez Garcia and many others.

Their attention is equally drawn on the Cuban music as well as they have attended Cuban cultural events and concerts from bands like Los Van Van and Calle Real in Europe. They always make sure to attend Cuban Venues everytime they are abroad (eg. England, France, Greece, Lebanon, Denmark) expanding in such way their knowledge not only on Cuban dancing and music but also on Cuban Culture in a broader sense.

Since 2008 they have performed around Cyprus and they demonstrated Cuban dances such as Son, Cuban Salsa, Rueda de Casino etc.

Their mutual love for cuban music, dances and culture as well as their love and chemistry with each other led them to become a cuban salsa dancing couple that exhales energy, love and passion in combination with great skills on footwork, speed and technique. All these elements identify them every time they are on the dance floor.

In June 2010 they won the first place at the Social Dance Competition of the CubaMiSalsa Festival in Limassol Cyprus.

In July 2010 they were qualified among the best ten couples in Europe for the European Cuban Salsa Championship. The Championship took place in Denmark where Giorgos and Antigoni participated and became the first couple ever to represent Cyprus at a Cuban Salsa Championship.

In November 2010 they attended Cubamisalsa Festival in Budapest.
In December 2010 they performed at Chapeando's Launch Salsa Party in Nicosia and at the Zouk and Salsa Party in Larnaca hosted by Jorge Maryano.
In February 2011 they were responsible for the organisation of "Clave, Tres y Musica" music workshop on behalf of Chapeando Cuban Club.
In May 2011 they performed with Chapeando's team in the International Dance Day organised by Lakatamia's municipality in Nicosia and at Occhio Lounge Bar for a Charity Event organised by the Rotary Club.
In July 2011 Chapeando's instructors performed a show dedicated to "Yemaya" at Cubamisalsa Festival in Limassol. They attended the workshops and they had private classes with Maestro Alberto Valdez.


Antigoni is specialized in Ladies Styling, Rumba, Afro, Cha Cha Cha, Salsa Suelta and Reggaeton.

Giorgos is specialized in Salsa Suelta, Footwork, Men Styling, Figuras and Rueda de Casino.
